Welcome to Walara

The heart of country care.

We proudly support older South Australians in regional communities with safe, caring and inclusive living environments.

At Walara, everyone is valued and everyone matters.

Walara provides residential aged care, retirement living and home care options to regional communities in the mid north of South Australia.

As an independent, not for profit aged care provider, we are dedicated to the holistic well-being of our communities ensuring they are empowered to make choices about their life, support and care.

Whether they are moving to higher levels of support in our comfortable residential aged care homes or downsizing to retirement living, we know the decision to partner with Walara is an important one.

We are passionate about developing respectful, warm and genuine relationships with our residents and their loved ones. We provide quality care and living through mutual respect, in a caring environment.

Aged Care

Our aged care facilities provide residents with a warm, caring and inclusive environment that support their individual needs.

Retirement living

Our retirement village offers independent, low-maintenance living for retirement in an inclusive country community.
What our residents say

“This is a caring, efficient and homely facility. I am very happy to have my husband here in a permanent capacity. He feels comfortable, supported, and enjoys meeting new staff members and residents. The staff are friendly but professional and will consult with families when problems arise”.

What our residents say

“I have appreciated the collaborative approach between Mill Court and my family in the support of my mum's health care needs. The Life Style Coordinators are friendly and genuinely care for mum’s well being. They have been instrumental in making a tangible difference to mum’s wellbeing during COVID and helping her settle into Mill Court as her home. Mum is happy and therefore so are we. Thank you for your ongoing and changing care of mum’s needs”.
